Netball ladies in singapore
While playing for Botswana at the Netball world championships last year in Singapore, Judith Mawela, Tebogo Radipotsane and Ntebogang Motlakaleso were spotted by Singapore netball teams, now they have been given an opportunity to make their names in one of the most professionally run leagues in the world, Singapore super league. They will all be in Singapore for 41days but playing there will give them a chance to be scouted by the English, Australians and the new Zealanders where they will sign permanent deals. The hard working Judith, who plays GD/GK, will play for Nike Marlins, goal shooter (GS) Tebogo will try her luck with Blaze Dolphins and Ntebogang will play GK/GD for M1 Starfish.
“I’m just happy, so excited because now it looks like my game is getting somewhere. To be recognized among multitudes it’s an honor that you will never forget, hope my dreams will sooner be getting true.” Judith said to sportsbots
The trio know there is no time to waste, they arrived in Singapore on Wednesday (21/03/2012), started training on Thursday night (22/032012), and they are expected to play their first games on Saturday (24/03/2012). These three ladies are the first ever Botswana netball players to play internationally and we hope this will open doors for more of our players to play overseas.
